Designer Ryota Murakami was born in Osaka in 1988. After studying fashion at coconogacco, he founded his own brand RYOTAMURAKAMI. Initially designing clothes with his mother Chiaki Murakami, he began working by himself from the 2018 SS collection onwards. The brand name was changed to pillings for the 2021 SS collection.
